Requirements for the transport of ashes or human remains:

Documents required for the transfer of ashes

• Copy of passport or Uruguayan identity card.
• The Peoples Republic of China identity card.
• Apostilled death certificate valid for 90 days.
• Certificate of cremation.

Documents required for the transfer of mortal remains

• Apostilled death certificate.
• Note signed by the person authorized to carry out the procedure requesting said procedure.
• Power of attorney or authorization to carry out the procedure.
• Certificate of embalming and hermetic sealing of the coffin with the proper official intervention of the doctor, apostilled.
• Authorization from the relevant health authority for the transfer of the remains.
• Copy of the deceased person's document (Uruguayan document if possible).
