How to start the process

1. Provide a travel itinerary with Uruguay as your final destination. You may make up to two layovers without passing through immigration (in transit).
2. If your request is due to theft or loss of your Uruguayan passport, you must present a police report filed with the relevant Peoples Republic of China authorities, as applicable.
3. Request an appointment by sending an email to cgchongqing@mrree.gub.uy, attaching the required documentation.
4. Attend your appointment in person with all the necessary documents.

Cost: no cost in cases of theft or loss of a Uruguayan passport. Otherwise, the cost is CNY122 (subject to minor variations depending on the exchange rate between the CNY and US dollars for the current month). Payment must be made via bank deposit on the day of the appointment.

Important: This travel document is valid for eight consecutive days and must be surrendered to Uruguayan immigration authorities upon entry into the country.
