Consulate General in Chongqing

The event, organized by the Consulate General of Uruguay in Chongqing together with Hong Kong VA Galleries, was held within the framework of the visit to Chongqing by the Governor of the Department of San José, Ana Bentaberri, who attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech during the event.

Municipal authorities also attended the ceremony, notably Ding Shiyong, Vice Chairman of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Zhou Yi, Deputy Director General of the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office.

It is worth highlighting that the works featured in the exhibition, curated by the Chinese gallerist Vincent Deng, were created by artist Juan Manuel Rodríguez, who was present at the opening, during his artist residency in Chongqing, which took place from May 1 to May 20 of the current year.

It is also important to note that the artist residency and exhibition of the Uruguayan artist in Chongqing were coordinated by the Consulate General of Uruguay in Chongqing, with the valuable support of the Government of the Department of San José and Hong Kong VA Galleries of Chongqing.
