Courtesy Meeting with Guangdong Foreign Affairs authorities
The Consul General of Uruguay in Guangzhou, Matías Benítez, was received by Ma Wenfeng, Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, on the occasion of his first courtesy visit since assuming his duties.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the excellent state of relations between Uruguay and China within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and examined opportunities to further deepen cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, education, culture, sports, and innovation.
Regarding decentralized cooperation, they also agreed on the importance of continuing to strengthen ties between Uruguay’s departmental governments and Guangdong Province, as well as promoting new opportunities for exchange and collaboration.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to continue strengthening the existing ties between Uruguay and Guangdong, while expanding and diversifying them through the identification of new opportunities for cooperation of mutual interest.
