A delegation from the Universidad de la República visited Hong Kong and Macao
Between 9 and 12 February 2026, a delegation from Uruguay's Universidad de la República (UdelaR), led by President, Dr Héctor Cancela, and acompanied by Consul-General Mr. Federico Lage, visited prestigious universities and organizations in Hong Kong and Macao.
These visits included City University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Lingnan University, Cyberport, Shake-to-win, Macau University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in order to explore future collaborations.
In this context, UdelaR signed MOUs with Lingnan University and Macau University of Science and Technology. These agreements enable regular academic exchanges, student-exchange programmes, and joint research projects addressing global and regional challenges.
