Uruguay and WKCDA Explore New Avenues for Cultural Cooperation
Uruguay and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) explored cultural cooperation opportunities, including joint programming and artistic residencies.

The Consul-General of Uruguay in Hong Kong, Federico Lage, met with the CEO of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA), Ms. Betty Fung.
Ms. Fung presented the District, one of the world's largest cultural spaces, home to the M+ Museum, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, and the Xiqu Theatre, which received over 17 million visitors in 2025. The Consul-General outlined Uruguay's priorities in cultural diplomacy.
Both parties discussed potential cooperation in areas such as programming and artist-in-residence initiatives.
