Uruguayan Book Donation Ceremony at the Hong Kong Central Library

The Consulate-General of Uruguay in Hong Kong and the local Public Libraries celebrated a ceremony for the donation of Uruguayan books to the Hong Kong Central Library. The event, which featured speeches from the authorities present and the writer Leo Long, marks a milestone in strengthening bilateral cultural ties through the publishing industry.

The Consulate-General of Uruguay in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Public Libraries held a ceremony to mark the donation of more than 20 Uruguayan books in Chinese and English to the Hong Kong Central Library. 

The event featured speeches by the Chief Librarian of the Central Library, Mr Daniel Li; Consul-General of Uruguay Federico Lage; as well as Uruguayan author Leo Long, who shared details about his work. 

This initiative marks a significant milestone in strengthening cultural ties between Uruguay and Hong Kong through the literary arts.
