Uruguayan Film in Hong Kong: Ponsonbyland
The film Ponsonbyland arrives in Hong Kong to participate in the 2026 EU-Asia Documentary Film Festival. Directed by Ramiro Cabrera, this Uruguayan-Belgian co-production explores the history of independence, identity, and the shared memory of both nations through the figure of the British diplomat Lord Ponsonby.
Screenings will take place on 31 July and 8 August 2026, at Broadway Cinematheque. Director Ramiro Cabrera will be present at both events to participate in Q&A sessions with the audience.
