Uruguayan Movie Night: Screening of the Documentary Behind the Myth (Detrás del mito)
The Consulate-General of Uruguay in Hong Kong is pleased to invite you to a screening of the Uruguayan documentary Behind the Myth (Detrás del Mito), directed by Marcelo Rabuñal.
This event is organised in collaboration with Spanish World Hong Kong, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
About the documentary:
The documentary explores how the famous portrait of our national hero, José Gervasio Artigas—painted over a century ago— was actually an artistic creation rather than an exact likeness of the founding father. Thus, it invites viewers to reflect on the interplay between art and history.
Programme:
19:00 – Opening remarks and overview by the Consul-General of Uruguay in Hong Kong, Federico Lage.
19:10 – Movie screening (in Spanish with English subtitles).
20:20 – Q&A, analysis, and group discussion.
