Reimbursement of Retirement Contributions (Power of Attorney) before AFAP, BPS and the DNM
Who can carry out this procedure?
Issuance of a Power of Attorney Letter to undertake procedures before the Pension Fund Administrators (AFAP), the Social Security Bank (BPS), and the National Directorate of Migration (DNM) of Uruguay, in relation to matters concerning social security.
How to start the process?
To schedule a face-to-face appointment, please send the following documents and information:
From the Applicant (the one granting the Power of Attorney):
- Copy of valid Uruguayan ID (passport or ID card)
- Full residential address
- Contact phone number
- Marital status – if married, provide full name of spouse and indicate whether it is a first or second marriage
- Specify the AFAP to which the Power of Attorney will be submitted
From the Representative:
- Copy of valid Uruguayan ID card
- Full residential address
2. Request an appointment by sending an email to: cgsydney@mrree.gub.uy, attaching the form and the required documents.
3. Attend in person with the complete documentation on the scheduled date.
4. Cost: This procedure is free of charge.
