Did you know you can learn tango in Australia?
Uruguay is the birthplace of tango, a musical and dance genre declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Montevideo played a key role in its creation and development, giving rise to outstanding performers and composers. Today, tango remains alive in milongas, academies, and festivals throughout the country, forming an essential part of Uruguay’s cultural heritage and our Río de la Plata identity.
In Australia, tango also finds its place through initiatives that celebrate and promote this artistic expression.
