Did you know you can learn Uruguayan folklore in Australia?
Candombe, milonga, pericón, and malambo are also danced on Australian soil. Thanks to the efforts of the Uruguayan and Latin American communities in Australia, it is possible to find dance workshops, traditional music groups, and events where Uruguayan folklore comes to life.
It is a unique way to keep traditions alive, share our roots, and bring new generations closer to the culture of the Río de la Plata.
Folkloric Group Sin Fronteras offers folklore classes for children of all ages, a space to learn and enjoy our traditions through music and dance. Classes are free, with voluntary donations accepted.
