During her visit, the Ambassador held meetings with senior officials of the Government of New Zealand, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Winston Peters, and members of the New Zealand Parliament, continuing the high-level dialogue which was strengthened by the recent official visit of a New Zealand delegation to Montevideo in March, headed by Minister Peters .

The visit reaffirmed the convergence between Uruguay and New Zealand on key issues of the international agenda, as well as their shared commitment to open, rules-based trade, multilateralism, and cooperation. It also promoted new opportunities for exchange between both countries, consolidating the deepening relationship between Uruguay and New Zealand.
