Brisbane / Uruguay at the 18th Latin American Colloquium 2025 of the University of Queensland

As part of her Official Visit to Brisbane, the Ambassador of Uruguay to Australia, Dianela Pi, participated on November 6 in the 18th Annual Latin American Colloquium, organised by the University of Queensland (UQ), where she participated as a guest panelist in “Biofuels: Driving Innovation, Powering the Future in Latin America and Australia.”

The panel brought together representatives from academia, government, and industry to reflect on the role of biofuels and renewable energy as drivers of innovation and sustainable development. The Ambassador shared Uruguay’s experience and achievements in this field, highlighting the country’s public policies aimed at sustainability.

The event reaffirmed Uruguay’s commitment to advancing clean energy solutions and to strengthening scientific, academic, and technological dialogue between Latin America and Australia.

In addition, during her visit, the Ambassador also attended the Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC) annual dinner in Brisbane, where she reiterated Uruguay’s commitment to strengthening economic and trade ties between Australia and Latin America.
