Canberra / Uruguay participated in the commemoration of the International Day of Women in Diplomacy

As part of the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, the Ambassador of Uruguay, Dianela Pi, participated last Wednesday in a panel discussion organised by the group of Women Ambassadors accredited to Australia and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Workplace Gender Equality Network.
The event brought together representatives from Australian institutions and the diplomatic community, including women Heads of Mission whose leadership continues to strengthen international dialogue, cooperation and mutual understanding.
The discussion provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on women's leadership in diplomacy, progress towards more inclusive representation, and the challenges that remain in achieving gender equity.
Uruguay's participation in this event reaffirms the country's longstanding commitment to equal opportunities, human rights and a foreign policy that promotes equity.
