International / Uruguayan writer Fernanda Trías wins another award at the Guadalajara International Book Fair

Four years after receiving this same award for her acclaimed work, Mugre Rosa, the Uruguayan author once again marks a milestone in contemporary Uruguayan literature, consolidating a literary career that transcends borders.
The jury, composed of Giselle Etcheverry Walker, Patricia Córdova Abundis, and Julián Herbert, recognized Trías's work "for being a novel rooted in the Latin American narrative tradition, reshaping it through an exceptional female point of view full of discoveries and nuances."
The Embassy of Uruguay in Austrlia joins the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Uruguayan Embassies around the world, proudly celebrating this new distinction. We extend our congratulations to the author for her invaluable contribution to national and international literature. A contribution that once again places Uruguayan literature at the center of the international scene.
