On October 16th and 17th, the Ambassador of Uruguay to Australia visited Melbourne, where she held several meetings with members of the Victorian Parliament and participated in the event "Drinks & Dialogue: Voices in Australia-Latin American Diplomacy" as a guest panelist.

The meetings at the Parliament of Victoria highlighted the value of continuing to strengthen the ties between Uruguay and the State of Victoria, emphasizing the importance of forming the Victoria-Latin America Parliamentary Friendship Group, which will promote further cooperation and dialogue in areas of mutual interest.

As part of her visit to Melbourne, Ambassador Dianela Pi also participated as a guest panelist at the event "Drinks & Dialogue: Voices in Australia-Latin American Diplomacy," organised by the Australia-Latin America Emerging Leaders Dialogue (ALELD) and the Young Diplomats Society (YDS).

The event's organizers, panelists, and attendees, including young professionals and students, contributed to creating an enriching space for dialogue through their questions, contributions, and reflections on the relationship between Latin America and Australia, the role of diplomacy, and the opportunities for cooperation.
