Apostilled Certified Copies of Birth, Marriage, or Death Certificates
For individuals or their direct relatives who require the issuance of an apostilled certified copy registered in the database of the Dirección General del Registro de Estado Civil, whether it be a birth, marriage, or death certificate.
To obtain an apostilled certified copy of a birth, marriage, or death certificate, you must provide the details related to the event as accurately as possible.
For birth certificates: date and place of birth, full name of the individual, and full names of their parents.
For marriage certificates: date and place of the marriage and the full names of the spouses.
For death certificates: date and place of death and the full name of the deceased.
Requirements:
- Identity document of the applicant.
- Provide the relevant information concerning the event.
- Pay the applicable fee. The exact amount will be indicated by email; please do not make any payment until your appointment has been confirmed. Please note that the amount may vary slightly depending on the monthly exchange rate between euros and U.S. dollars.
Once you have reviewed and met the requirements listed above, please request an appointment by sending an email to urubelgica@mrree.gub.uy and attach all the required documentation for the procedure.
Please note that once the certificate has been requested from Uruguay, the document may take between 30 and 40 days to arrive.
