Embassy of Uruguay in Belgium

Last Thursday, March 19, in the heart of Brussels’ European Quarter, the opening reception for Karina Yacoubian’s exhibition Pure White & The Core Series took place.

Karina Yacoubian is a Uruguayan artist with an academic background in design and architecture. She studied interior design at ORT University in Montevideo, Uruguay, and then architecture at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until April 21 at Press Club Brussels, a venue that regularly hosts cultural, academic, and political events.

The opening was attended by staff from European institutions, members of the accredited diplomatic corps, representatives of Belgian business organizations with ties to Uruguay, as well as members of the Uruguayan community living in Belgium. The turnout reflected the growing interest in the Latin American art scene within the European context and the role of culture as a bridge between communities.
