In that regard, he added: ‘I believe that the public has not yet fully grasped the potential this has to change their own lives.’

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also stated that 'Mercosur has entered a new phase' following the agreement with the European Union, noting that the bloc has moved beyond its image as a fragmented entity and that member countries are moving toward a shared vision of regional integration and international influence.

Lubetkin also noted that the European Union and Uruguay share a common set of principles, rooted in democracy, respect for human rights, and the defense of multilateralism, which constitutes a central pillar of the bi-regional relationship.

The Forum concluded with remarks by the President of the Republic, Yamandú Orsi, who closed the event by reaffirming the strategic importance of the agreement between the European Union and Mercosur for strengthening economic, political, and cooperative ties between the two regions.
