Signing of an Agreement on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters with Canada
On June 25, Ambassador Pablo Sader, on behalf of the National Customs Directorate, signed the Agreement between the Oriental Republic of Uruguay and Canada on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters, together with Erin O'Gorman, President of the Canada Border Services Agency.

This Agreement reflects the strong and enduring partnership between Uruguay and Canada, two countries that share common values and are committed to rules-based trade, effective border cooperation, and the security of international supply chains.
By strengthening information sharing and mutual assistance between our customs administrations, we are better prepared to combat illicit trade, while facilitating legitimate trade for the benefit of both countries.
