Visit of Minister Mario Lubetkin

On 15 October, Minister Mario Lubetkin visited the city of Brussels, where he carried out an extensive diplomatic agenda.

At the Berlaymont Building, he held meetings with the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Raffaele Fitto, as well as with the Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, Maroš Šefčovič. During both meetings, the parties reviewed progress regarding the European Union–MERCOSUR Association Agreement and reiterated their shared commitment to bringing the agreement to completion.

Later that afternoon, the Minister met with Members of the European Parliament from the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats to discuss the progress made in the process toward signing the agreement between the European Union and MERCOSUR. The meeting was attended by the President of the Parliamentary Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D), Iratxe García Pérez, and Leire Pajín. Minister Lubetkin also participated as a keynote speaker at the launch of a new edition of Latin America Days, organized by the same parliamentary group.
