Description

Pursuant to the Consular Fee Schedule (Article 233 of Law No. 16,170, Decree No. 336/991 and its subsequent amendments), when the presence of a consular officer away from the Embassy premises is required in order to perform a consular service, the applicant must submit a prior request and assume payment of the applicable extraordinary fees.

In addition to the extraordinary fees established by the regulations in force, the applicant must cover all expenses arising from the provision of the service away from the Embassy premises, including, where applicable:

• transportation expenses;
• accommodation expenses;
• travel allowances; and
• any other expense directly related to the provision of the consular service.

The applicable extraordinary fees are as follows:

On Working Days

• First hour: CAD 182
• Each additional hour or fraction thereof: CAD 78

The provision of this service is subject to the availability of a consular officer, the nature of the requested procedure and prior coordination with the Embassy.

Payment must be made before the consular service is provided, either by Interac e-Transfer to cdottawa@mrree.gub.uy or by bank deposit, in accordance with the instructions provided by the Embassy.

Important: These extraordinary fees and associated expenses do not apply to Mobile Consulates organized and scheduled in advance by the Consular Office. In such cases, the conditions of service and any applicable costs will be stated in the corresponding announcement.
