The Consular Section of the Embassy of Uruguay in Canada Publishes the 2026 Return Guide
The publication brings together, in a single document, up-to-date information on the main aspects of the return process, including required documentation, the relocation of personal belongings and vehicles, the entry of pets, benefits available to returnees, as well as information on health care, education, housing, employment, and other relevant procedures.
The 2026 Return Guide is intended to facilitate planning for the return to the country by providing clear and easily accessible information on applicable procedures, the relevant authorities, and the resources available to those who decide to settle in Uruguay again.
The Consular Section invites Uruguayan citizens residing in Canada to consult this publication and share it with relatives and acquaintances who may find it useful. It also recalls that the Consular Section remains available to provide guidance on the consular procedures that may apply in connection with a possible return to Uruguay.
