Uruguay elected to the ICAO Council for the 2025 to 2028 term

The Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization, meeting in Montreal, elected the Oriental Republic of Uruguay as a member of the ICAO Council, Part III, for the 2025 to 2028 term.
This achievement constitutes international recognition of Uruguay’s commitment to aviation safety, international cooperation, and the sustainable development of civil aviation. Uruguay will continue working alongside Member States to promote safer, more efficient, sustainable, and inclusive aviation.
During the 42nd Session of the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, the Delegation of Uruguay reaffirmed its commitment to multilateralism as a pillar of our foreign policy, aviation safety, innovation and passenger protection, global air connectivity and the liberalization of open skies, responsible action on climate change, and multilingualism within ICAO as an instrument of transparency.
