The following wines were presented:

  • Bodega Garzón Reserva Cabernet Franc 2023
  • Bodega Garzón Reserva Pinot Noir de Corte Rosé 2025
  • Bodega Garzón Reserva Albariño
  • Viña Progreso Barrel-less Tannat 2020
  • Viña Progreso Cabernet Franc 2019
  • Juan Carrau Estate Wine Tannat/Cabernet 2016

The selection showcased Tannat, the emblematic grape variety of Uruguay’s wine industry, alongside other expressions of Uruguayan winemaking, including Cabernet Franc, Albariño, Pinot Noir Rosé, and Tannat–Cabernet blends.

The tasting thus highlighted a more diverse range of wines than that with which Uruguay is traditionally associated abroad, showcasing the variety of grapes, styles, and offerings currently available from the country’s wine sector.

The event also provided an opportunity to further promote awareness of Uruguayan wines in the Canadian market and to introduce the local public to representative wines from different Uruguayan wineries and wine-producing regions.
