Embassy of Uruguay in Germany

The Vierte Welle Film Festival 2026 is an independent film festival based in Berlin dedicated to queer cinema, artistic activism and international cultural exchange.

In this context, the Embassy of Uruguay took part in the opening of the Vierte Welle festival, which was attended by our compatriot Ms Virginia Viñoles, who is the curator of the festival’s “Radical Care” section.

Furthermore, on Sunday 15 March, as part of the “Radical Care” section—which shares stories of women who open up new possibilities against injustice through collective resistance and radical tenderness—the Uruguayan short film “Tejedoras” (Weavers) was screened.
