Circular Note Nr. 08/2025 - 4th Edition of the Uruguay Photography Award

It is hereby informed that the National Directorate of Culture (DNC) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC), through the National Institute of Visual Arts (INAV), together with the Photography Center (CdF) of the Montevideo City Government (IM), are inviting interested individuals to participate in the 4th edition of the Uruguay Photography Award. This initiative is the result of a joint effort between both institutions, with the objectives of promoting visual creation, recognizing the work of photographers, and fostering a space for the development of Uruguayan photography.
Eligible to participate are Uruguayan citizens or foreign nationals with permanent legal residence, over 18 years of age, submitting a single work or series per individual and/or collective.
The Award consists of a single, indivisible prize of UYU 70,000 (seventy thousand Uruguayan pesos) awarded to one work. Applications may be submitted until August 7, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (Uruguay time).
