The Embassy of Uruguay in Israel extends its greetings to the Uruguayan community in Israel and is pleased to inform you that the Sodre National Ballet (BNS), under the artistic direction of María Noel Riccetto, has announced its upcoming international audition, aimed at male and female dancers for the 2027 Season. The call is open to dancers with a classical ballet technical background, as well as contemporary dance training.
The international audition will consist of a pre-selection process through video submissions. After this stage, the selected candidates will be notified to participate in the in-person audition, which will take place on Friday, 25 September 2026, at the Adela Reta National Auditorium of Sodre (Montevideo, Uruguay). It will consist of a full class (barre/centre) and a classical variation, which each dancer must prepare in advance with the corresponding music. Eliminations will begin during the barre session. The registration period will run from 10 July to 10 August 2026, inclusive. Registration will be completed exclusively online, access the form.
The basic requirements are: Classical ballet training. Female dancers must have a minimum height of 1.63 metres, and male dancers a minimum height of 1.75 metres. The minimum age requirement is 18 years old and the maximum age is 30 years old. Candidates must submit separate videos of a classical variation and a contemporary variation for the pre-selection process. Only videos submitted through a YouTube link will be accepted.
