The Embassy of Uruguay in Israel extends its greetings to the Uruguayan community in Israel and is pleased to announce that the Directorate General for Consular Affairs and Engagement has launched the first issue of its Newsletter, an institutional publication designed to strengthen communication, dialogue, and ongoing engagement with Uruguayans residing abroad.
Engagement with our fellow citizens abroad is one of the fundamental pillars of the work we carried out, as well as by Uruguay's Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices. In this regard, it is considered essential to promote channels that facilitate the dissemination of relevant information, highlight initiatives, share experiences, and showcase the valuable contributions that Uruguayans make every day in the countries where they reside.
Through this publication, we seek to promote not only the actions, programs, activities, and projects undertaken by the Directorate General for Consular Affairs and Engagement, Uruguay's Diplomatic Missions, and Consular Offices, but also the initiatives developed by the Consultative Councils, Uruguayan Associations, and individual compatriots who, from a variety of fields, contribute to strengthening Uruguay's ties with the Republic.
The Newsletter also aims to reflect the diversity, commitment, and richness of the experiences of the Uruguayan community living abroad by encouraging the exchange of information, the dissemination of best practices, and greater mutual understanding among Uruguayans established in different countries and regions.
The Directorate General for Consular Affairs and Engagement believes that an informed citizenry is also a more connected, engaged, and participatory one. Accordingly, it aspires for this Newsletter to become a permanent forum for communication, exchange, and engagement, as well as a useful tool for maintaining and strengthening the ties between Uruguay and its communities abroad, fostering an increasingly active, dynamic, and lasting relationship.
