Join the Godparents' Network English program

The "Godparents' Network" program, developed by the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP), aims to promote the universalization of English language teaching, born within the framework of the "Uruguay Plurilingual 2030" project, which includes 643 special schools in Uruguay that currently do not have an in-person English teacher or the possibility of synchronous classes via videoconference.
Given the challenges that arise in the implementation of this program, since 2019 ANEP has relied on volunteer "godmothers" and "godfathers" who interact with teachers, students, and communities through storytelling, sending audio recordings and/or videos, supporting the use of the language, and any other activity or project agreed upon for these purposes.
Currently, there are not enough "godparents" to cover all rural schools in the country, so an invitation is extended to all compatriots residing abroad who have a good command of English to become volunteer godmothers or godfathers in this project.
