On the 2nd of this month, this Mission, represented by Consul Ms. Florencia Del Có, participated in the "Donors Day" event held at the MFO (Multinational Force and Observers) at the North Camp in the Sinai Peninsula.

The MFO is an international organization established to supervise the implementation of the security provisions of the 1979 Camp David Peace Treaty between Egypt and Israel.

"Donors Day" is an event that recognizes the participation and support of the countries contributing to this initiative, providing them with a firsthand overview of the Force's activities and operations.

Uruguay has been a member of this peacekeeping force since its establishment and currently maintains a contingent of 40 personnel under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Douglas Leal. The Uruguayan contingent performs highly valuable duties that have been internationally recognized on numerous occasions. Its principal responsibilities include the transportation of personnel and supplies, as well as engineering and heavy equipment operations, which are essential to the effective functioning of this multinational force.
