Uruguayan Scholarship Recipients Completed Course on Municipal Projects in Citizen Security
As part of the bilateral cooperation between Uruguay and Israel, Mashav and the Leadership Institute organized a program on Municipal Projects in Citizen Security, which included the participation of 22 professionals from 10 Latin American countries. Among them, the Mayor of CH Municipality, Ms. Matilde Antia and Legislator Juan Martin Barcena Soldo were invited.
The course was held during December 2025. The Ambassador of Uruguay to Israel, Manuel Etchevarren, accompanied the Uruguayan scholarship recipients at the closing ceremony and diploma presentation on December 10.
The aforementioned course was part of a long and fruitful cooperation between Uruguay and the Mashav Center, the international development cooperation agency of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Courses are often developed jointly with various Israeli agencies, such as, in this case, the International Leadership Institute, an NGO of the Israeli Histadrut, the national workers' union of Israel.
