Application for a Family Member’s Citizenship Letter
The Citizenship Letter may be requested via the following email address: ciudadanialegal@corteelectoral.gub.uy.
The following scanned documentation must be attached:
- Completed form (see attached file).
- Identity card of the applicant.
- One or more certified copies of vital records (birth, marriage, or death certificates) or any other document proving the blood relationship between the applicant and the person for whom the Letter is being requested.
The body of the request email must indicate the details of the person who will collect the Letter and pay the processing fee at the Treasury Office of the Electoral Court.
The Letter may be collected starting 10 business days after the request is submitted.
