Certificate of Non-Service in the Uruguayan Army
Any person who needs to prove that a relative did not serve in the Uruguayan Army may request this directly from the Ministry of Defense.
To request a certificate in the name of a specific person, an application must be made before the Ministry of Defense. The interested family member must present the original documents and copies of the following:
- Identity card
- Certificate of citizenship
- Birth certificate
The request for the certificate at the Ministry of Defense is free of charge and is submitted between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, either in person or through an authorized representative. For additional inquiries, the email address of the office that issues this certificate is: dgs.secretaria@mdn.gub.uy.
