Uruguay in Copenhagen: night of Uruguayan Cinema and Cultural Exchange

On Sunday, June 8th, the Embassy of Uruguay successfully held the event 'Uruguay Evening' in the city of Copenhagen (Denmark), as part of the Latin American Film Festival organized by the Danish Cinematheque and the Danish Film Institute.

The event took place at the Cinemateket facilities and began with a warm reception featuring Uruguayan wines and empanadas, a space that offered a moment of gathering with fellow Uruguayans and friends of Uruguay.

Following the reception, the Uruguayan film "The Snow Between Us" (2024) was screened, with the distinguished presence of its director, Mr. Pablo Martínez Pessi, lead actress Ms. Inés Noueched, and Swedish co-producer Ms. Mónica Hernández Rejón. After the screening, they engaged in a post-film discussion that enriched the experience for the attending audience.

The Embassy wishes to express its gratitude to all who took part in this cultural evening, which reaffirms our commitment to promoting national cinema and strengthening ties with the Uruguayan community abroad.
