Comunicado del Ministerio de Turismo israelí:

Upon the instructions of Minister of Tourism Haim Katz, with the launch of Operation “Roaring Lion", the Ministry of Tourism is operating in emergency mode, providing accommodation solutions for citizens evacuated from their homes and assistance to tourists seeking to depart Israel.

As of Sunday morning, approximately 37400 tourists are currently in Israel. Since the beginning of the operation, around 700 tourists have departed the country. The Ministry of Tourism is prepared to assist tourists wishing to leave Israel by providing transportation to the land border crossings and is in continuous contact with the Incoming Tour Operators Association, which coordinates the groups currently staying in Israel.

In parallel, the Ministry of Tourism is responsible for arranging hotel accommodations nationwide for residents evacuated from their homes due to missile impacts. To date, the Ministry has placed more than 280 individuals in hotels. This framework, prepared in advance with a broad inventory of emergency rooms, operates in cooperation with the Israel Hotels Association.

Alongside field operations, Director-General Michael Itzhakov has instructed the reinforcement of the 24/7 Virtual Information Office. Since the start of the operation, approximately 500 inquiries have been addressed, many of which require human response and are handled directly by Ministry staff.

The Ministry of Tourism maintains ongoing contact with all industry stakeholders, including hoteliers, travel agents, tour guides, and tourism operators, and receives updated situational assessments regarding needs on the ground.
