Juan Pablo Tagliafico Senllanes (First Secretary)

Doctor in Law and Social Sciences graduated from the University of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay in 2012.
He joined the Foreign Service in 2013 through opposition and merits public competition.
His native language is Spanish, but he is also fluent in English and Portuguese.
He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Human Rights and Globalization at Universitat Oberta, Catalunya.

In 2024, he was appointed Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic to the Kingdom of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland, concluding his duties in August 2025.
Specialist in Consular Affairs, particularly since 2013 when he became Head of the Office of Assistance for Compatriots at the Uruguayan Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
In 2015, he was appointed Consul of Uruguay in Barcelona, where the second-largest Uruguayan community resides.
In 2021, he was reappointed as Head of the Office of Assistance for Compatriots.
In 2022, he traveled on a Special Mission to Qatar to coordinate assistance during the FIFA World Cup held in that country.
