International Agendas

The development of digital technologies has had a significant impact on socioeconomic changes at a global level, modifying how we educate ourselves, how we produce, work, and consume; or the way in which we interact with each other and with the State, as well as the ways in which we employ our leisure time.

These changes are occurring rapidly in every country and in all areas of activity, generating unprecedented impacts on our ways of life. This represents great challenges for States.

The Uruguay Digital 2025 Agenda (AUD2025) seeks to advance with medium-term objectives, which reinforce the commitment to sustainable development and the promotion of an inclusive Digital Society. For this purpose, AUD's strategic lines promote the inclusion of digital technologies in all sectors of public policy and are aimed at all actors in our society, always placing the person at the centre, generating positive and sustainable impacts, aligned with global development.

AUD 2025 is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and with global and regional mechanisms on the Information Society.

Its contribution is to deepen the use of information and communication technologies to face current challenges; use these technologies to improve our work capacity, boost our efficiency and transparency. Work to eliminate all digital gaps, which is also working to eliminate social gaps: a global challenge which no country can ignore today.

Uruguay faces these challenges with the cooperation of every stakeholder, considering its needs and future goals, and with the commitment to continue offering citizens the tools to generate skills and competencies in the digital environment.
