Consulate General in Chongqing

The event was held at the renowned KuanYuanzi Restaurant and was attended by representatives of the Yuzhong District FAO and the Overseas Returned Students Association, as well as representatives of local business chambers, international students, and importers of Uruguayan beef and wines. 

The program featured a fusion of traditional Uruguayan cuisine with seasonings and ingredients representative of the Chongqing region, using premium cuts of Uruguayan beef paired with Uruguayan wines. A special highlight was the careful preparation and prior study of the cookbook “Nuestras recetas de siempre” (Our Traditional Recipes) by Uruguayan chef and Country Brand Ambassador Hugo Soca, carried out by internationally renowned chef and owner of the host restaurant, Yu Chunxi, who oversaw every detail of the culinary experience.
