Consulate General of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay in Hong Kong

Thanks to the support of the Macao Association for the Promotion of Exchange between Asia-Pacific and Latin America (MAPEAL), the Consulate-General of Uruguay took part in the 14th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo with two booths: one promoting the country as a whole, and another that also showcased Colonia del Sacramento — a city that, like Macao, preserves a rich Portuguese cultural heritage.

Consul-General Federico Lage gave a presentation on Uruguay as a tourist destination and joined a live streaming session to introduce Uruguay's tourist attractions and signature products to Asian audiences.

Together with Bodega Mederos, a Uruguayan wine tasting seminar was held.

Donghai County Dazijing Jewellery - an importer of Uruguayan amethysts in China — also exhibited its jewellery collection, highlighting the great potential for business cooperation between the two countries.
