Uruguayan wine tasting

The Embassy of Uruguay, as a member of the Agricultural Attachés’ Club in Berlin, participated in a wine tasting organized by the Club, which took place on 27 April at the Bulgarian Embassy in Berlin.
The countries presenting wines were: Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Ireland, Lithuania, Slovakia, Switzerland, Hungary, the United States of America and Uruguay.
It is worth noting that, from the southern hemisphere, Uruguay was the only wine-producing country present.
On this occasion, Uruguayan wine was presented not only as an export product by excellence, but also as an ‘ambassador’ that reaches the end consumer as a showcase of the nation’s culture and highlights the quality inherent in a long and rich production chain, with levels of investment and research that position it very attractively on the international market.
It should be noted that Bodega Garzón, both directly and through its representative in Germany, not only showed a strong interest in participating but also provided the wines presented – Tannat Reserva and a Sauvignon Blanc blend – free of charge.
In addition to the tasting, this event provided an opportunity to hold discussions with various German importers, the trade press and other invited guests.
