This is the procedure through which the National Directorate of Migration issues a certificate confirming the migratory status in the country of foreign nationals and certifying migratory movements, namely entries into and exits from the country, both for foreign nationals and for Uruguayan nationals who may require it.

By order of the National Directorate of Migration (D.N.M.), the competent authority for the registration of migratory movements, Consular Offices are not authorized to provide such information for procedures before national bodies and institutions of the receiving State, in this case Canada. Therefore, should a Certificate of Migratory Movements be required, interested parties must contact the D.N.M. directly or through an attorney-in-fact.
