Certificate of Single Status

The Certificate of Single Status is issued exclusively by the General Directorate of the Civil Registry in Uruguay.

Remember that all documents issued in Uruguay must be apostilled to be valid before German authorities. The apostille process is carried out exclusively at the Uruguayan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

If the German authorities require a consular document regarding your civil status, the Consulate can issue a certificate based on the apostilled document issued by the General Directorate of the Civil Registry.

To request this consular certificate, please send the duly apostilled document issued by the General Directorate of the Civil Registry, along with a copy of your valid Uruguayan document, to the following email address: urualemania@mrree.gub.uy

After verifying the documentation, an appointment will be scheduled for you to appear in person at the Consulate on the indicated date and time.

On the day of your appointment, you must present the original documents; otherwise, the process cannot be completed.

Cost

This consular certificate costs 30 euros (the amount may vary depending on the current exchange rate).

Payment must be made by bank transfer. Payment details will be provided after you submit all the required documentation by email.
