This Standard applies to the ginseng product

Product definition Ginseng:

  1. Prepared from all part of fresh and sound ginseng roots;
  2. Derived from Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer or P. quinquefolius L;
  3. Cultivated for commercial purposes and used for foods;
  4. Packaged in such a manner as to safeguard the safety and nutritional and quality characteristics of the products;
  5. Processed in an appropriate manner, undergoing operations such as drying, steaming, cutting, powdering, extraction and concentration.
