The objective of a State’s nuclear security regime is to prevent, detect and respond to nuclear security events, and to protect persons, property, society and the environment from the harmful consequences of a nuclear security event. Building the capacity of organizations and people to establish, implement and sustain a nuclear security regime is an essential responsibility of a State.International cooperation is vital to support States in establishing and maintaining effective nuclear security regimes.

The IAEA’s Division of Nuclear Security has launched The Women in Nuclear Security Initiative (WINSI). One of its first activities is the upcoming seminar referred to in the subject matter, which will take place on 26 May 2021. 
It is open to any interested party, not just from within the nuclear security domain. 
The attached information sheet includes the background, objectives, registration procedure and programme.
