The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is organizing the "Virtual Regional Training Course on SIT components: Methods for Mass-Rearing and Irradiation of Aedes mosquitoes (Module I), Vienna, Austria, from 15 to 18 June 2021.
The purpose of the event is to (i) provide technical support for the participating Member States on mosquito rearing and irradiation of sterile male Aedes spp, as keys components of the SIT package; (ii) review and discuss mosquito rearing and irradiation protocols, and discuss relevant information in the form of presentations and learning materials provided by the IAEA, and the experts; (iii) harmonise procedures to mosquito rearing and irradiation in SIT pilot trials at the regional level, and (iv) strengthen regional networking, co-ordination, and information exchange.
The working language(s) of the event will be English.
Deadline for Nominations Nominations received after 13 May 2021 will not be considered.
